This project documents the end-to-end design and construction of a
Cessna 172 home flight simulator capable of supplementing real world flight training.

Completed

  • Power Supply - dedicated 20A circuit powering the flight SIM.
  • Computer - PC tuned specifically for flight simulators by XForcePC.
  • Primary Displays - triple 55" 4k TVs used for external flight visuals.
  • Platform - rolling base that all flight controls and instruments attach to.
  • Pedestal - floor structure housing fuel switches and trim wheel.
  • Lower Control Panel - primary flight and systems control structure.
